The road I decided to travel was due to part my wife's desire to have led Xmases decorations, I am sure many of you have seen these. They look fantastic, but can become very costly.
I quickly watched each year as my wife added on to her collection (ours, sorry dear). With some of the items getting costly.
I seen an opportunity, one to lower the cost, as well as pick up new hobby. One where my real life skills might provide some benefit.
One day, while looking around the internet I ran across an article, this article was talking about a new computer called the Raspberry Pi.
You can read about them here. https://www.raspberrypi.org/ The mission is very cool and one of the major reasons why the company was founded, was an issue I was seeing myself. The simple lack of kids who were experimenting with hardware and software.
It was on that very website, that I saw a product that caused me to stop dead in my tracks. It was an RGB LED Matrix. As many of you know, and RGB LED Matrix is basically the same thing as your LED TV's and LED monitors. Yes, I know , I am over simplifying it. But forgive me, that's the point of this blog.
